Newest College Hoops Recruiting Trend: Arkansas Head Coach Eric Musselman Letting A Recruit Stand Over Him Like Allen Iverson/Ty Lue
There’s always some sort of trend going around in the college recruiting world. Whether it’s how you announce your commitment, listing your top-5 (shout out Tipton Edits who apparently everyone uses for that) and of course taking pictures while on your official trip. We saw in football the trend of taking pictures with your parents in full pads:
But now we have a new trend starting in college hoops thanks to Eric Musselman. I shouldn’t be surprised, I mean I know for a fact that Muss and his staff like Barstool. Creative minds make creative coaches – at least that’s what I’m telling myself since he’s now an SEC enemy. I should probably use that term loosely since it’s laughable to think Arkansas can compete with Kentucky, but I digress.
Anywho, I love it from Muss. We have him recreating legendary images from the NBA with recruits. Why not? You want to step over me like I’m Ty Lue, here’s your paper to become a Razorback right this second
Absolutely nailed it. If that wasn’t enough he even pretended to be Wade so his recruit could pretend to be LeBron.
Again, this is simply Muss being Muss. He knows how to work social media. He knows the game. Plus, he knows how to celebrate and give an interview. The man became content city while at Nevada, whether it was having his wife write 3-peat on his bare chest to celebrate:
Said he was overlooked for a head coaching job at San Jose State, so he told people of course he could recruit, look at his wife:
His hot mic celly from the NCAA Tournament
How many other coaches are hopping around on the media table to celebrate
I look forward to him recreating John Starks headbutting Reggie Miller with a recruit.
